DRINK-DRIVER Charmaine Boyd has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Boyd pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Polo in Wagtail Road, Waterlooville, after drinking too much alcohol.

A test revealed the 23-year-old’s blood contained 95 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.

Boyd was fined £100 by Portsmouth magistrates.

She was ordered to pay £15 to a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.

Boyd, from Flexford Gardens, Havant, was banned from driving for 12 months.

The ban could be reduced by three months on the condition that Boyd completes a government-approved driving course. The course costs up to £250.
