HUNDREDS of drivers have been breathalysed in the first week of a police campaign to stop drink and drug-driving.

Hampshire Constabulary tested nearly 600 drivers last week for their summer campaign which will last until the end of this month.

Nine people were arrested on suspicion of drink-driving with one person arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive due to drugs.

Officers from Hampshire and Thames Valley Police’s Joint Operations Unit are conducting the drink/drug operations.
