Hunt for female victim of '˜very serious assault' in Leigh Park

POLICE are trying to find a woman who told pub staff she had been the victim of a serious assault.

The woman made the allegation to staff at The Swallow pub in Dunsbury Way, Leigh Park, at around 2.30pm on Saturday.

A Hampshire police spokesman said: ‘We are trying to trace a woman who asked staff to ring a taxi for her before disclosing that she had been the victim of a very serious assault.

‘She has been described as white, aged in her mid-20s, around 5ft 8in, skinny, with blonde hair tied up in a short ponytail/bobble, and was described as wearing a bright yellow vest.

‘We are concerned about this person and would ask anyone who knows her to get in touch with us on 101, or ask her to contact police.’
