POLICE have launched an appeal to find a missing woman after she disappeared near her home in Warsash.

Heather Bater, 50, was last seen near the village’s Co-op store at about 9am on Wednesday, not far from her house in Saxon Close.

Officers are in contact with her family and are increasingly concerned for her welfare.

They are carrying out extensive enquiries to find her.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Peter Lavin said: ‘We are concerned that she may be in a vulnerable condition. Anyone who has seen Mrs Bater or who knows where she could be is asked to contact police. Local residents are asked to check gardens, outbuildings, alleyways and allotments.’

She is white, 5ft 5in, of a medium to large build, with brown frizzy hair, brown eyes and she wears glasses.

Det Con Lavin added: ‘I’m also appealing directly to Mrs Bater to contact her family or the police to let us know where she is.’

Anyone with information can call police on 0845 045 4545 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
