CCTV images have been released as police investigate the theft of a handbag that led to a fraudulent spending spree.

A Fat Face handbag, containing £600 in cash, two mobile phones and numerous bank cards, was stolen from the staff area of Bradleys bathroom showroom in London Road, North End.

The bag was later found discarded and empty and the bank cards were subsequently used in several shops in the Cosham and Havant areas to buy items.

The suspect, pictured right, is described as white, medium to large build with long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail.

She was wearing a dark top with patterns on the top half, dark trousers, a white scarf and brown loafers and was carrying a black bag.

It occurred between 10.30am and 11.30am on Monday, March 18, and police have now released CCTV stills.

Anyone with information should call Fratton CID on 101.
