The 31-year-old admitted the offence and he was also ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

n Roger Warne, of Stakes Hill Road, Waterlooville, admitted driving a red Peugeot 206 in Mole Hill, Waterlooville, without insurance on March 8.

The 57-year-old was fined £120, and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs, after he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday. He was disqualified from driving for six months.

n Mark Boyd, of Mill Road, Southampton, admitted being in possession of a small quantity of both cannabis and cocaine in Portsmouth on April 3.

The 23-year-old was fined £60 for the cannabis – a class B drug – and £240 for the cocaine – a class A drug.

He was also ordered to pay a £24 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Magistrates ordered the drugs be destroyed.

n Giovanni Macchi, of Nightingale Road, Southsea, admitted an assault, which took place on May 26.

The 42-year-old was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in costs, after he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

n Liam Elston, of HMP Winchester, was sentenced to two weeks in prison for damaging a window to the value of £500.

The incident took place in Southsea on May 21. The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to the criminal damage at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

n Nicholas Gaylard, of Walburton Way, Waterlooville, admitted driving a Vauxhall van in Green Lane Clanfield while being over the drink-drive limit.

The 59-year-old had 98 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mcg limit, when he was stopped on May 21.

Gaylard was banned from driving for two years, plus he was ordered to pay a £500 fine, a £50 victim surcharge, and £85 court costs when he appeared in court.

n Barry Jeans, of Crawley Avenue, Havant admitted stealing a bicycle worth £80 from the staff area of the Isambard Kingdom Brunel pub in Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth, on March 14.

The 24-year-old was ordered to pay £80 in compensation and £85 in costs by magistrates on Friday.
