A test revealed he had 182 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, more than the 80mg limit.
Magistrates fined him £600 with a £60 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs. He was banned from driving for 20 months.

He was jailed for 14 days due to non-compliance.

Hide Adn Darren Barter, 43, of Highland Road, Southsea, admitted harassing a woman by swearing, shouting and kicking the front door of the premises in July in Portsmouth.
Barter received a six-week prison term suspended for 12 months. He also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress on July 19.
He received no separate penalty for this.
Barter admitted breaching a community order for two counts of harassment but received no separate penalty on each count.
He must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

Hide Adn Haylie Edmonds, 28, of Nutbourne Road, Farlington, admitted breaching the peace on July 21 in Portsmouth.
She was bound over in the sum of £200 for six months.
Edmonds must not shout or swear in public or in the presence of neighbours.
n Michael Antram, 24, of Curdridge Close, Havant, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress on July 20 in Waterlooville.
He was fined £50 with a £20 victim surcharge to pay.
He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge but no action was taken on the breach.

Hide Adn Gavin Cox, 38, of Abbotstone Avenue, Havant, admitted breaching a restraining order between April 2 and 9 by contacting a woman.
He was fined £850. He must also pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
