MEAT thief Darren Elston has been jailed for a month.
The 45-year-old, of Ashley Close, Havant, stole meat worth £135.15 from Tesco in Cosham on September 1. Magistrates jailed him for 28 days for the offence.
He admitted breaching a previous conditional discharge for stealing meat on June 23 and was re-sentenced to a 28-day concurrent sentence.
Elston further admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements and was handed a 14-day concurrent sentence, meaning his total sentence was 28 days in jail.
