n Peter Vine, 30, of Ashley Close, Havant, admitted using violence to get into premises in Portsea View, Bedhampton, on July 2.

He was jailed for 28 days.

n Joseph Butler, 39, of Liverpool Road, Fratton, was found guilty of assault by beating against a woman on October 7 in Portsmouth.

Butler was also convicted of criminal damage of a computer keyboard, a mirror and an internal door.

In all he was jailed for 26 weeks.

Butler must pay a £115 victim surcharge.

n Matthew Melhuish, 26, of Chewter Close, Southsea, admitted assault by beating against a man on July 30 in Southsea.

Magistrates jailed him for 17 days as he headbutted, kicked and punched the elderly victim.

Melhuish must pay £250 compensation to the victim.

n Michael Gorman, 51, of no fixed address, admitted breaching a restraining order on November 22.

He went to Beaulieu Avenue, Havant, from where he was banned.

Magistrates jailed him for 70 days as he refused to comply with the restraining order and indicated he would refuse to comply with a community order.

Gorman must pay a £115 victim surcharge.

n Ian Campbell, 45, of Wandleys Lane, Chichester, admitted assault by beating against a woman in Southsea on September 11.

He also admitting a second assault by beating on the same day.

Magistrates imposed a community order with 20 days of rehabilitation activities.

He must pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n Suzanne Fitzmaurice, 54, of St John’s Close, Hayling Island, admitted theft of CDs and alcohol worth £167 from Asda, Havant, on September 22.
