MEN claiming to be water company workers have sparked a warning from police.

Officers said there have been two incidents where men have turned up in fluorescent jackets claiming to be from Bournemouth Water and needing access to a metre.

It happened in Crofton and Titchfield. The firm has told police it has no record of work or visits in the area.

A van with the firm name on the side was seen each time.
