CCTV footage has been released by police following an attack at a curry house.

A 32-year-old man was with his partner in The Spice Village restaurant, in High Street, Emsworth, when he was assaulted by a man.

The attacker was part of a group of people whom the victim had met earlier in the day.

The assault happened at about 11pm on Saturday, February 28, although police have only just released the CCTV still.

Officers say they need to speak to the man in the photograph in relation to the attack.

Cindy Wishart, a spokeswoman for Hampshire police, said: ‘The victim received minor injuries. If you recognise the man, or anyone with information please contact Det Con Steve Bourne at Fratton police station on 101.’
