Couple sentenced for neglecting dog in ‘worst case of fleas inspector had ever seen’

A MAN needed to be taken to hospital after a serious assault near a pub.

After drinking in The Heron, in Leigh Park, a group of men went to the junction of Martin Road and Petersfield Road, where an assault took place.

One of the men, a 35-year-old was taken to hospital but has since been discharged. Another man had minor injuries.

The assault happened last night.

A 20-year-old man from Havant has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Witnesses should call police on 101.
