A THIEF stole expensive electrical goods after burgling a flat.

Police have launched an investigation after the theft, which happened on
Thursday last week. Details have just been revealed by police.

A 39-year-old man left his first-floor flat in West Street, Portchester, at around
8pm. When he came back at 11.45pm, he noticed a number of items had been stolen.

Items taken included: a 42ins Samsung Smart 3D television; a Samsung Blu Ray DVD player; an iPad 2; a PlayStation 3 and several games; an Xbox 3; and a laptop
computer.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sandi Peet said: ‘This address is situated above a hairdressers on a busy main road. The burglars may have had a vehicle, and in any event would have had to carry bulky items from the premises.’

Witnesses and anyone with information can call Det Con Peet at Fareham police station on 101.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
