TREASURED jewellery and cash were stolen in a burglary.

Thieves broke into a home in Edgeware Road, Milton, and fled with items including a custom made gold cross with an emerald in the centre and £400 cash.

They also stole an Italian style men’s identity bracelet with the name ‘Ray’ engraved on it, a diamond studded T-bar necklace and a gold chain with a square green stone surrounded by smaller diamonds.

The burglary happened between 6.30pm on May 18 and 4.45pm on May 20. Police have only just released details.

Investigating officer PC Mark Brockman from Portsmouth’s burglary investigation team said: ‘Catching burglars and reducing burglaries remain priorities for police in Portsmouth.

‘The effect on victims should not be under-estimated. We’re appealing for any information that could prove useful in pursuing leads.

‘In particular, officers are keen to hear from anyone that has been offered any of the items listed.’

Anyone with information is asked to call PC Brockman on 101 or 0845 0454545. Alternatively call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555111.
