BANNED driver Gary Hawley has been jailed after using a car while disqualified.

The 33-year-old, of Kimbridge Crescent, Havant, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance.

Hawley was stopped in Billy Lawn Avenue in Havant on March 21 while driving a Citroen Berlingo.

At Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court, District Judge Anne Arnold jailed Hawley for eight weeks and ordered him to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

Mrs Arnold banned him from driving for three years.
