SEAFARERS who have been trespassing on nature reserves have been warned by a harbour authority.

There have been reports of canoeists, windsurfers and fishermen walking on islands in Langstone Harbour, which provide nesting ground for rare species such as the little tern.

A report by the Langstone Harbour Board states: ‘We have worked with the RSPB and the Southern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority to identify these individuals and inform them of the importance of the islands to bird life.’
