Meat cleaver ‘flailing’ thug sent to prison after severing boy’s fingers in self defence

THIEVES broke into a library and stole computers.

Police are investigating the burglary, which happened between 8.30pm last night and 6.45am today.

A statement on the library’s website said: ‘Portchester Library is closed due to a break-in. Not sure at this point, if/when the library will be open today.’

The doors to the library, in West Street, were forced open and a window was smashed.

Police said that computer hard drives were taken.
