A MAN has been charged with sex offences after an organised crime investigation.

Hampshire police yesterday said Brian Pepper, 64, of Homer Close, Gosport appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He is charged with attempting to meet a girl under the age of 16 following grooming and attempting to engage in sexual activity with a girl over the age of 13. It comes after an investigation by Hampshire Constabulary with the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit. Pepper was remanded to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on November 16.
