AN ATTACKER who assaulted a man in his own home has been told to do community service.

Keith Wootton attacked Rowan Goodhall at his flat in Fawcett Road, Southsea.

Wootton, 58, of Victoria Road North, Southsea, pleaded guilty to common assault when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was given a three-month prison service suspended for a year. Magistrates also ordered him to carry out 150 hours of community service and pay £100 in compensation to his victim.
