A SHOPLIFTER has been given a conditional discharge.

Arthur Restorick was caught after stealing goods from Morrisons supermarket in Lakesmere Road, Horndean, on February 1.

Restorick pleaded guilty to stealing two DVDs and stationery including two pairs of scissors and highlighter pens worth a total of £55.80.

The 66-year-old, from Hemsley Walk, Waterlooville, was given a 12-month conditional discharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service within 14 days.
