SHOPLIFTER Simon Comerford has been given a conditional discharge.

The 46-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing a pair of boots and three jumpers worth £21 from the Primark store in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, on March 11.

Comerford, of Queen Street, Portsea, Portsmouth, was given a 12-month conditional discharge by Portsmouth magistrates. He must also pay £40 in court costs.
