Man admits to assaulting PC

Nearly 2,700 cases of non-recent child abuse have been recorded by police in Hampshire. The NSPCC's chief executive said it is a sign that more people are confident in reporting the crimes perpetrated against them.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man for assaulting a police officer.

Alfred Hema, 29, of Camden Street, Gosport, admitted assaulting PC Luke Goble in South Street, Gosport, on September 25. He was told to pay £350 in a fine and costs and compensation by Fareham magistrates.
