A MAN has been arrested after threatening to cause criminal damage in a job centre.

Police were called to Job Centre Plus in Arundel Street, Portsmouth city centre, at 3.06pm this afternoon.

The man was detained and arrested on suspicion of threats to cause criminal damage.

No one was injured.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said there was no device found at the scene.
