A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and sexual assault after a woman was car-jacked.

The 32-year-old Waterlooville man is being questioned by detectives, Hampshire police said.

As reported, the woman was car-jacked on Purbrook Way in Havant last Thursday.

A man got into the passenger seat of a Land Rover Freelander at about 8.40pm.

He threatened the woman and made her drive up the A3 to Hindhead before making her turn around.

He told her to stop at junction three and ran across fields towards Leigh Park.

The woman was uninjured but shaken. Nothing was stolen.
