A TAXI driver has been fined and told to do unpaid work after assaulting a woman.
Dallas Whyte, 54, of Hornbeam Road, Emsworth was found guilty after a trial of assaulting a woman, damaging the woman’s moped and driving a taxi without reasonable consideration for other people using the road.
All the offences happened on July 2 last year in Emsworth. He denied them but was found guilty.
Magistrates gave him a community order with 120 hours’ unpaid work to be completed in 12 months.
He was fined £165, told to pay £100 in compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and costs of £25.
Whyte also received nine points on his licence.
