A MAN assaulted a woman after posting abusive comments on her Facebook page, a court heard.

Stuart Lee, 43, of Kingston Road, Buckland, Portsmouth, confronted his victim after posting the messages.

At Portsmouth Crown Court prosecutor Daniel Sawyer said it happened when the pair saw each other in Kingston Road.

He said: ‘When they saw each other outside she went over and said “why have you put such abusive comments?”’

Lee swore at her and then aimed a kick at the shopping.

Mr Sawyer added: ‘Her left arm and wrist knocked the shopping out of the box.

‘Her left wrist, in the immediate aftermath, swelled up.’

Her phone was also damaged in the August 8 incident last year.

But it was only later on holiday in Malta she received a call telling her she had fractured her wrist and had to get it plastered while abroad.

Mr Sawyer said she was in extreme pain on the holiday.

Lee admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage. He was given a 16-week sentence for ABH and four-week for damage, both suspended for two years. He must pay £200 compensation and do a drug rehabilitation requirement.
