A WOMAN whose dog attacked a man with learning difficulties is being hunted by police.

The 51-year-old victim was walking near the junction of Monmouth Road and London Avenue in North End, Portsmouth, when the incident happened.

The dog bit the man on his hip, causing puncture wounds which left him needing medical treatment.

Police say the dog owner didn’t say anything to the victim and walked off following the attack, which happened between 8.45am and 9.15am on October 10. Police have only just released details.

The dog is white – possibly a Staffordshire bull terrier – with a patch of brown on its upper neck. The woman is white, about 50 and 5ft 3in tall with a medium build and short, brown hair. Call 101.
