AN UNEMPLOYED man who was found with a small amount of cocaine has been told to pay £170.

Jamie Smith, of Dunsmore Close, Southsea, was arrested in Plymouth Street, Southsea, on November 1.

The 24-year-old was due to appear before magistrates on November 8 but he failed to turn up.

Smith pleaded guilty to possessing a class A drug and failing to attend court when he was brought before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £70 and told to pay £100 in costs.
