DETECTIVES have charged a man with the murder of Keith Bevis in Portsmouth.

Marc Martin Wells, 39, of Seagrove Road in North End, will remain in custody overnight to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Wells was arrested on Saturday afternoon shortly after police were called at 4.55pm to a report of a man’s body being found at an address in Seagrove Road.

The victim, Keith Bevis, was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene.

Mr Bevis’s next-of-kin were informed of the charge against Marc Wells by a police family liaison officer today.
