A FORMER shop worker knocked a bin off a wall at his old place of work.

Felix Smith, 21, of Shore Road, Warsash, admitted one count of criminal damage after the incident at Co-op in Warsash Road on November 22.

Fareham Magistrates’ Court heard he caused £200 of damage to the bin after stumbling into it in the early hours.

Magistrates heard Smith had a previous restraining order barring him from going to the Co-op store. A charge of breaching the order was withdrawn by prosecutors. He was told to pay £200 and £85 costs. Chairman Graham Aiken said: ‘It may seem like a lot of money for a fairly manky bin.’
