A MAN has denied causing distress to a passenger by threatening to blow up a train.

Daniel Gatt, 26, from Malta, pleaded not guilty at Southampton Magistrates Court yesterday following an incident on January 26.

He was arrested by police at Havant train station.

The court heard Gatt told an 18-year-old woman that he was going to blow the train up – which he denies.

A trial has been set for July 3 at Southampton Magistrates Court.
