A MAN who admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance has been given a community order.

Richard Hazeltine, 44, from Solent Breezes, in Warsash, admitted driving a Mercedes Benz in Chilling Lane, Warsash, on March 9 while banned, and also admitted driving without insurance.

Hazeltine was given an 18-month community order and told to take part in a thinking skills programme for 20 days when he appeared at Fareham Magistrates’ Court.

He must attend appointments with a supervisor and pay £35 in court costs.

Magistrates added eight penalty points to his licence. Hazeltine committed the offences while under a suspended sentence order imposed by magistrates in Southampton last March. No separate action was taken on the breach.
