A MAN hanged himself in the bedroom of a friend’s house in Southsea.

Alan Spence, of no fixed address, was staying at a property in Highland Road in November last year.

An inquest in Portsmouth heard the 43-year-old was found hanged by a friend late at night.

Paramedics confirmed Spence was dead at the scene.

A pathologist report said there were no signs of a medical disease that contributed to his death.

David Horsley, coroner for Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire, said: ‘Mr Spence had intended to take his own life, which he carried through.’
