A 54-YEAR-OLD man who was found with indecent images of children has been ordered to go on a sex offenders’ programme.

Police found 48 pictures of children and two films of abuse when they searched Michael Sprake’s home.

Sprake, of Eastern Road, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to five counts of possession of indecent images when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrates made a sexual offences prevention order restricting Sprake’s use of the internet for three years.

Any device he uses to go online could be inspected by the police at any time.

He must attend at least 32 sessions of the sex offenders’ programme and will have 12 months of supervision from the probation service to help him keep from reoffending.

He will be on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
