Police offer reward for arrest of former Portsmouth resident after £12 million heroin supply trial

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent after a fight broke out in the street.

Police were called to Barnes Road in Fratton, Portsmouth, shortly before 1am today to reports of a fight between two men.

A 35-year-old Portsmouth man was taken to hospital but police say his injuries are not life threatening.

Officers arrested a 43-year-old man from Portsmouth on suspicion of wounding with intent within five minutes of their arrival at the scene.

He is still being held in police custody.

Scene of crime officers are examining the area for evidence.
