A MAN has been robbed at knifepoint as he walked home in Portsmouth.

The 20-year-old man was approached from behind by another man who threatened him with a knife.

Cash was stolen from his wallet during the robbery, which happened in Brookfield Road, Kingston, between 4.50am and 5.20am on Sunday.

Police are appealing for witnesses and have released a description of the suspected robber.

He is described as aged in his late 20s, 6ft 2ins tall, black and of medium build. He was wearing a black jacket with the collar zipped up underneath his nose and a black woolly hat, jogging bottoms and gloves.

The victim received no visible injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable Jonathan Butler at Fratton Police Station on 101.
