A MAN has been jailed for his part in an international paedophile ring.

Jonathan Garner-Harris, 37, a former deputy director of an outdoor activity centre, was jailed for four years for intentionally encouraging acts of child abuse.

Appearing via video link from Durham Prison at Portsmouth Crown Court, he hung his head in shame as he was sentenced by Judge Roger Hetherington.

He was banned from working with children and he was given a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

Garner, of Marrick Priory, Marrick, Richmond, North Yorkshire, was given an extended licence period of six years when he is released from jail.

He was given a four months for making and possessing indecent images of children. This sentence will be served concurrently.
