Man re-bailed over Portsmouth murder probe

A MAN has been re-bailed after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

The 55-year-old was arrested over the death of Christina Jewell, 53, who was was found dead at Handsworth House, Quinton Close, Somers Town, on April 4.

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary arrested the man, from Southsea, on suspicion of murder and theft. He has now been re-bailed until July 21.

Police have previously appealed for help tracing Ms Jewell’s final steps from mid-March onwards. Call 101.
