POLICE are hunting a man who robbed a 12-year-old girl at a cashpoint machine.

Hampshire Constabulary have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to about the incident outside The Co-op, in St James Road, Southsea.

A man grabbed the girl and demanded she hand over the money. Her bank card and £20 was taken and she ran away, having suffered bruising and scratches.

The man ran towards King Street after the robbery, which police revealed today happened around 8pm on Saturday, June 22.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Pete Bambury said: ‘This was an appalling robbery at a cash point on a 12-year-old-girl in the early evening. If you recognise or know this man, please contact police.’
