A WOMAN has been arrested following a stabbing in Southsea.

Paramedics were called to a house in Fawcett Road after a 38-year-old man suffered several slash wounds to his body.

He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, where he is still being treated. His injuries are not believed to be serious.

The incident happened at 12.20pm today and police were seen breaking down the door to the house shortly afterwards.

They arrested a 29-year-old woman on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

She is still helping police with their enquiries.
