A PARTYGOER was left with a cut to his nose after he was headbutted and threatened with a broken glass bottle in an attempted robbery.

The 19-year-old was approached by four men on pushbikes in an alley in The Links, off Rowner Lane, Bridgemary, Gosport.

He had left a party to call his girlfriend when they approached and one of the men demanded his phone.

But when he refused one of the men threatened him with the bottle and then headbutted him, leaving him with a cut to his nose.

The victim pushed the man away and ran to safety just after 1am on Sunday, May 26.

Nothing was stolen from the man.

All four men are white and the main suspect is described as in his mid-teens and is 5ft 8ins tall.

He has very short dark hair and has a spotty complexion.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark- coloured hooded top and light grey tracksuit bottoms.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Katie Wakefield said: ‘The alleyway is surrounded by houses and I would appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything to contact Fareham CID.’

Call police on 101.
