Transplant Games athlete admits drink-drive charge after being caught during police summer crackdown

A DRIVER survived a crash that left his car in wreck.

The man, in his 20s, crashed in Lovedean Lane, at 12.15am yesterday.

On Twitter, Hampshire Roads Policing Unit said: ‘How the driver has survived this collision in Lovedean after hitting a tree is unbelievable!’ It added the hashtag #dontdrinkanddrive

A Hampshire police spokeswoman added: ‘We were called to Lovedean Lane at 12.15am on June 5, to a single vehicle collision. ‘The vehicle is an Audi A3.

‘The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to QA hospital where his condition is described as stable.

‘Investigations ongoing.
