DETECTIVES are looking for a man who made threats and demands for a shop worker to open the till.

Hampshire police have released CCTV images in an appeal to help identify a man who may know about an attempted robbery.

The incident happened shortly after 10pm last night ,when a man entered the One Stop store in Highland Road, Southsea.

Police say he appeared to be carrying a knife when he made threats and demands for a female shop worker to open the store’s till.

The shop worker, a woman aged in her 20s, activated the store alarm and the man left empty-handed. She was not assaulted and not injured.

Nothing was reported stolen.

The suspect was described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, and wearing a white hat, grey scarf, black clothes and black gloves.
