Darren Eariss has been spared jail after admitting harassing a woman.

The 44-year-old, of Camp Road, Gosport, harassed a woman between March 26 and April 11, a court heard.

He pleaded guilty to sending a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character in Gosport on April 12.

He was sentenced to 20 weeks in jail suspended for a year and put under supervision by Fareham magistrates.

Eariss was ordered to take part in an integrated domestic abuse module and told to pay £200 compensation.
