RESIDENTS will have the chance to find out what their local policing team is up to at a public meeting.

Officers from the Fareham East Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding the meeting from 6pm this Friday at Harrison School, in Harrison Road, Fareham.

This is the first of two planned meetings where residents can learn what initiatives the police have in place, discuss any policing concerns that they may have, and offer suggestions to the team on what they should be concentrating on.

The catchment area for this meeting is east of Fareham Leisure Centre in Park Lane, up to the motorway, Harrison Road, Old Turnpike, Southampton Road and the Wallington Village area.

Sergeant Jerry Tremellen said: ‘We’re looking forward to meeting our residents and continuing to build close relationships with them.

‘It’s this kind of cohesion between police and residents that is vital in the fight against crime. I’d encourage everyone to come along and meet the team.’
