THREE people arrested following an assault in Southsea have been released without charge.

A spokesman from Hampshire police said the men remain under investigation.

As previously reported in The News, a 23-year-old man from Southsea suffered serious chest injuries in an assault on Thursday at 7.06pm.

Police cordoned off Edmund Road overnight as part of their investigation.

The victim was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
