POLICE are appealing for witnesses after what is believed to be an attempted sexual assault on a teenage girl.

The 18-year-old was walking along New Park Road, Chichester, at 11pm when she encountered three men sitting on a bench.

One of them asked her for a light and money and when the victim replied she had neither the man grabbed her arm and said: ‘You can go when you give us what we want.’ The other two men then blocked her path.

The suspects fled when they saw a dog walker coming towards them.

The suspects are described as white and all in their early to mid-20s.

The man who grabbed the victim’s arm is about 5ft 10in, slim, pale with spiky brown hair and was wearing a light-coloured long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows and blue jeans.
