A missing 59-year-old woman has been found after a widescale search in Portsmouth.

Police say a relative located the 59-year-old woman that went missing in Portsmouth.

Hampshire police had said they were concerned for the welfare of the woman who was last seen at her home in Drayton, at around 10pm last night.

Officers this morning scoured Farlington Marshes in the hunt for her.

A coastguard helicopter assisted the police in their search.

Police also carried out searches on Portsdown Hill and Foxes Forest at Hilsea as well as at train stations and business parks.

The coastguard helicopter was involved in the Farlington marshes search with around 15 police officers and 10 coastguards on the ground.

Just before lunchtime, police moved away from the marshes and said they would be concentrating their search elsewhere.

An hour later, police announced that she had been found.
