A BOY missing for five days has been found in Portsmouth.

Mason Gagen, 15, vanished after leaving his home in Wroxall on the Isle of Wight on Thursday at about 7.30am.

Yesterday morning Hampshire police said there had been a possible sighting of the teenager with a friend in Commercial Road, Portsmouth.

And at 7.35pm last night police confirmed the missing youngster had been found.

Police have praised the media and the public for helping in the search.

A Hampshire spokesman said: ‘Missing 15-year-old boy Mason Gagen has been found safe and well in the Portsmouth area.

‘We would like to thank the press and public for sharing our appeals.’
