A DRIVER is set to be tried by jury over the death of a lollipop man.

Lauren Paul, 22, of Ramblers Way, Waterlooville is accused of causing death by careless driving when she appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court for the first time.

Ray Elsemore, 82, of Florentine Way, Waterlooville was killed after being in collision with a car in Tempest Avenue, Waterlooville in December 2012.

Paul has yet to make a formal plea.

A trial is set to take place from November 11.
